Delhi Development Authority is rushing to construct a fresh sports complex in Sector 19B, Dwarka. For the very first time, DDA has joined hands with a private company to achieve the project. A reputed estate company Omaxe has joined hands with DDA.

The sports complex is going to be spread over 50.4 acres. It will also have an international stadium with hospitality services. This means the area will have sports facilities and spaces for visitors to stay and relax. The project was started two years ago when Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena laid the foundation.

Although the process has taken some time, the necessary permissions for the project have been secured in most areas. Construction is likely to start by December 2024, said one official representative from Omaxe. This has thus been a major mile in bringing the project into being.
